Isn't this hat adorable?? We had been in the NICU long enough at this point that we had started to make friends with the other parents. The mom of the baby in the crib across from Aria had become a good friend in particular - we saw each other nearly every day so we'd sit and hold our babies and chat. She was here from out of state so didn't have anything to do when she wasn't bedside, so she had been making hats since that was a talent of hers. On this day she presented us with an adorable owl hat for Aria! We were so touched, and thrilled to have something else to add to her collection. Of course, Aria being the little self-heater that she was, promptly overheated after about 2 minutes of wearing it, but it was still so cute to have!
